Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Piton Board mobile application (the "App"), published by Piton Equipment (Piton - SARL El Cap, 7 rue des Compagnons, 44800 Saint-Herblain, France). By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

The App lets you pair with and control a Piton Board climbing wall over Bluetooth, browse and save climbing routes, track your progress, and interact with other users (comments, likes, follows, playlists). Some features require an account and an internet connection.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your country of residence to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App: no harassment or abusive content towards other users, no attempt to disrupt the service or access it through unauthorized means, and no use of the App for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. User content

Routes, comments, photos, videos, and other content you submit through the App remain yours, but you grant Piton Equipment a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the App and its promotional use. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to share it.

6. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party infrastructure, including Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and backend services. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of these providers where applicable. See our Privacy Policy for details on data processing.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and underlying software are the property of Piton Equipment and protected by intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you beyond the limited right to use the App as intended.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is". Climbing carries inherent physical risk; the App's grade predictions, route data, and community content are provided for guidance only and do not replace your own judgment or proper supervision. To the extent permitted by law, Piton Equipment's liability arising from use of the App is limited accordingly.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate access in case of a breach of these Terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules where applicable.
